It's been a long time since i made a post, lots of stuff has changed for me (better and worse i guess) in the last few months. Trying to decide where to go from here is probably the #1 thing on the list. I gotta say, everything is pretty fresh right now, finally going back to work after a 3 month injury/vacation, which is kind of a double edged sword to say the least, spring is right around the corner, all things music have been going really well. Love lost, love found, etc etc. Maybe i shouldn't have to decide, and let fate carry me where it's supposed to?

Really wanna go back to school for Journalism, which is half the reason i'm going to make it a point to start blogging more, i feel like i have a lot to say about things that are pertinent to me, but don't really have a mastery of how to let it out i guess. How do people have the drive to go to work full time and go to school and earn "marketable skills" full time? I've never been that ambitious, i can hardly get out of bed in the morning :D

It really boils down to how much i want it. The last three months were either really boring or really awesome, no in-between really. I'm not good with making "life checklists" or whatever. What is really important to me is i have a great group of friends that i wouldn't change for anything, and for once in my life i'm feeling really positive about what the future holds.

Since this is a music blog, well.. mostly because that's the main thing that interests me besides irish whiskey, i should probably tell you about one of these buzz words i rediscovered this weekend, Skwee. I cant get enough of this stuff!

Not the best NYE ever. Went and saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones at Lupos. Show was great, and during the encore, i was trying to make my way out from the front of the crowd to the back, some fucker who looked like Cactus Jack pushes me back in, and being the old fart i am, i fell and twosted my leg in such a fashion my tendon hyperextends and almost rips from the bone. I am now in an incredible amount of pain, and cannot walk. How i made it back to my car astounds me. Anyway, i watched Aliens VS Predator: Requiem, and i must say ..

THAT WAS FUCKING AWFUL.

I did get to watch the first season of Sons of Anarchy, and it was better than i expected it to be, especially with Ron Perlman, who is the ugliest dude on the face of the planet with an underbite so caveman-esque, the geico man would be shocked, and PEGGY FUCKING BUNDY. She's still hot BTW

Comedian and Chicago native Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia, his publicist confirmed.

you know how sometimes you just get angry?

you can't explain it, something traumatic enough happens you feel the need to strike back?

sometimes, this is good, an act of war, sometimes, not as much.. like the domino effect, it will come back to haunt you.

i just got out of a 2.5 year relationship with someone who i will hold close to my heart forever. and i screwed the end result over hard. we tried to remain friends, but the dominoes tipped in such a way that couldnt happen.

it's like, when someone does something very ill to you, you should feel the need to do something more ill back. so i did. at the time, i didn't have any regret about it. it did sink in, before anything else happened, but i just let it go, Iv'e always been a firm believer in if you are done an injustice, you should "right" it.

so i guess il'l just give in, like i always have, and turn the other cheek. for her only, noone else.

Arachi, a glutinous oil ingredient is said to be present in butter and nuts. Though research has failed to show whether there is any link between the oil and the person suffering from Arachibutyrophobia.

The actual problem brought by peanuts is the presence of silicon gel type properties that get stuck to the upper part of the mouth.

i may have been a late bloomer into drum n' bass, but once i heard this album, it changed everything for me. i'd never heard music like it before, it was raw, passionate, and beautiful at the same time. tunes like "the western", ltj bukem's classic "Music" just moved you in a eerie but sensual way.

One of the best times iv'e ever had djing was an opening slot at a show LTJ and Conrad played at in Boston, at the old Rinse venue, which was a couple years after rinse had ended (RIP) I mean, the setup was so shoddy and i cant believe he had to play on it - you had to get on a very unstable ladder to get to the top, and then jump over some wood and wires next to the big club amps just to get into the booth :] sounded like hell on the floor too. Still left me in awe seeing this guy who i thought was larger than life at the time.

A year or two earlier, he played at The Roxy in Boston, and my friend Mr. Matt will testify to this: We called the rewind on the recorded Logical Progression 6 :]
